Chemequip Laser-Welded Dimple Jacket is a compact heat-transfer structure designed for heating, cooling, and temperature control of process vessels.The jacket is manufactured by laser welding two metal sheets at a defined pattern to create a series of internal flow channels. After welding, the jacket is formed by controlled inflation, creating a dimpled heat-transfer surface. Heating or cooling media flows through these channels and transfers heat through the jacket wall.
The dimpled channel structure promotes fluid turbulence and provides a large effective heat-transfer area, allowing efficient and relatively uniform temperature control.
